Ocean Shores Weekend

Cary at Galway Bay.jpg

Bagpipes, bodrahns, guitars, fiddles, and flutes filled the 16th annual Galway Bay Celtic Music Feis. Cary played with Danny, Eddie, and Larry as they jammed to jigs, reels, and songs. Bands congregated from across the world – representing traditional and contemporary music from Scotland, France, and Japan.

Neve and I drove up with Mom and Dad Friday afternoon and checked into the Shipwreck House, a centrally-located Airbnb that accommodates up to 12. Bryce, Jessica, and Vivienne met us there along with Jon, Ashleigh, May, Elle, and Pearce. Neve loved the cousin bonding time in the pool and on the beach as much as the music!

The weather was quintessential autumn on the coast – sun breaks interspersed with strong wind gusts, sudden downpours, and a couple rainbows to round out each afternoon.
