
It’s been two circles around the sun since we moved into this home and onto this property rich with vegetation, much edible – we have apples, pears, blackberries, raspberries, figs, flowers, ferns, and more! And today we’re putting this bountiful early autumn fig yield to work!

Neve was my helper in scavenging the fruit and was determined to help with the jam too – I loved the company in the kitchen! I found a simple recipe: 3 pounds of figs, 2 cups of sugar, and the juice and fine zest from one lemon.
